John Liardet. A similar item was patented in 1777 by John Johnson. Extensively used by the architect Robert Adam who subsequently commissioned George Jackson to generate reverse-cut boxwood moulds (lots of which to Adam models). Jackson fashioned an impartial company which still today makes composition pressings and retains an exceptionally massive
